SUPERVISION

I am not taking on interns at this time. Please check back later.

As a Wingspan certified and Texas state board-approved Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, I provide a safe, compassionate environment to foster the growth and development of Licensed Professional Counselor Interns. During the supervision process, interns will develop their counseling skills and theoretical knowledge, learn best ethical practices, gain practical clinical tools, and develop personally and professionally through self-reflection, group work when possible, quality supervision, and experiential exercises. When available, interns may also have the opportunity to co-facilitate groups with me in my private practice.

My previous agency experience and current private practice work offers interns the unique perspective of gaining insight in both settings. As an eclectic therapist, I identify as an integrative supervisor, relying on more than one theory or technique when working with LPC-interns. During the supervision process, I see my role as teacher, counselor, and consultant. We will collaborate to set goals, measure progress, and ensure that safety and growth are a priority. I am organized, detail oriented, and conscientious of adhering to ethical and professional guidelines. I would be a good fit for someone who loves to learn, is motivated and excited about the counseling profession, and who is responsible and open to developing as a clinician and an individual.

You can teach a student a lesson for a day; but if you can teach him to learn by creating curiosity, he will continue the learning process as long as he lives.
